Not So Amusing Parks – NJ Slip and Falls at Six Flags
Anyone who spent time in an amusement park knows that they can be extremely dangerous places. Outside of the obvious situations – like falling from a ride or having a limb injured while on one – there is the simple fact that 90% of most parks are concrete. This means, if you fall, you will more than likely injure yourself in some way. As kids, we all had a greater chance of recovery after a fall. But, older people are not as lucky when it comes to slips, trips, and falls.
This was proved in a recent claim against Six Flags Theme Parks. A woman and her husband are suing the park for over $50,000 for damages suffered following a 2013 slip and fall accident. According to the suit, the woman was attempting to leave the bathroom when she encountered a cleaning cart blocking her path. When she attempted to go around the cart, she slipped on the bathroom floor and severely injured her arm, neck, and back. She underwent many surgeries and remains in excruciating pain to this day.
