Lependorf & Silverstein, P.C. Celebrates a Successful Half Marathon!
We are proud to say that the Princeton Half Marathon on November 5 was a big success! As usual, the event sold out, and the maximum 1,750 runners ran, cheered on by hundreds of supporters. Gabriel Lependorf and David Silverstein, partner attorneys of Princeton personal injury law firm Lependorf & Silverstein, P.C., sponsored the event and manned a “hydration station” along with their families and staff.
Everyone—runners and supporters alike—showed up bright and early before the race’s official start at 7 a.m. It was a cool, overcast day—perfect for a 13.1 mile course on tree-lined streets through historic Princeton! Runners passed by the Princeton Battlefield, the home of Einstein, Princeton University, the Princeton Boathouse, Mount Lucas, Herrontown Woods, and more.
As we all know, running even a few hundred yards can warm you up quick! We were happy to provide water to thirsty runners as they passed, heading toward the finish line!
All net proceeds from race day went to support HiTOPS, a Princeton-based nonprofit geared toward adolescent health. HiTOPS sponsors youth programs and outreach that provide comprehensive sexuality education and promote healthy relationships.
Missed the race? Don’t worry, you can still donate to HiTOPS and support this worthy cause.
As Courtney Newman, the race director, says, “Community health begins with healthy young people, and the HiTOPS Half was created to create awareness, rally support, and raise funds to help them become the best versions of themselves.”
We had fun, and more importantly, we did it for a good cause. Lependorf & Silverstein, P.C., is already looking forward to next year’s race!
