Although Mount Laurel was established in the 19th Century, the land that the township is located on was home to the Lenni-Lenape Indians from around 1400 until the 1700s. Laurel which can be visited today, such as the 1866 built Farmer's Hall which has be restored and acts as a museum of historical artifacts; the Clinton House which was built in 1744 and was used as headquarters in 1778; and the Lippincott House which was a general store and post office in the 1800's. Currently the 22 square miles that makes up Mount Laurel is home to 41,000 residents and has many top schools and employment opportunities to offer people of all ages.
